The first one is an awareness post; misconceptions, explaining what T1D is, etc. The second one is new this year. The History of Diabetes campaign highlights important moments, people, and even animals from Ancient Egypt to current breakthroughs. I’m also participating in Type 1 Toucan’s prompt list this year. It’s just too cute not to!!
I hope this list helps when you’re looking for diabetes facts or stories to share this November!
Happy Carb Counting!
~ Leah
PS: A lot of these pages are run by one person (rather than a company or organization). They might not make it through the whole month posting every day. Diabetes is hard. Advocating for T1D is hard. It can be very lonely to post about T1D during November. If you see posts from these and other creators, give them a like, share, and follow. It will help boost their spirits and encourage them to continue posting. 💙
This is by no means a complete list of Facebook pages participating in Diabetes Awareness Month this November. If you know of a T1D Facebook page that isn’t on this list and is sharing an original post every day for diabetes awareness month, let me know. I can add them to the list!
For more information, tips, and stories about T1D, join the Carb Counting Mama email list, and make sure to head over to the Carb Counting Mama Facebook page and “like” it.
